The Outlaw begins with original Dickies waxed duck canvas work pants. A garment once built for labor and endurance is reimagined as a singular art object by Fly Art Atelier in California.
 
The composition draws from the mythology of the American frontier. A lone prospector and mounted riders appear across the surface — not placed on top, but embedded into the structure of the garment itself.
 
Layers of paint splatter create controlled chaos across the surface. Textile patches, leather elements, and archival imagery interact with the material, responding to the history already present in the fabric.
 
The painted composition is applied by hand by Vladimir Mukhin, while the garment itself is developed and assembled within the Fly Art Atelier practice.
 
No stencils.

The composition evolves directly on the garment, guided by texture, wear, and structure.
