Ocean Blossom began as a pair of blue leather boots and gradually became a surface for painting.
 
Small blossoms spread across the leather like petals carried by the coastal wind. Rather than forming a decorative pattern, the flowers drift freely across the object, appearing and disappearing against the deep blue surface.
 
The contrast between the ocean-colored leather and the delicate flowering branches creates a dialogue between permanence and fragility. The boots retain their original purpose while becoming a painted object whose appearance changes with movement, light, and wear.
 
Each flower was painted by hand, allowing subtle variations in color, shape, and rhythm to emerge across the surface. The composition was inspired by spring blooms along the California coast and the meeting of sea, sky, and seasonal color.
 
Created entirely by hand in California, Ocean Blossom belongs to the Fly Art Atelier Archive as a one-of-a-kind wearable artwork.
