Langsyne is a hand-painted denim artifact created by Vladimir Mukhin at Fly Art Atelier in California.
The piece begins with an Australian-made Jackeroo denim garment, transformed into a singular wearable object through painting, textile layering, and reconstruction. The sun-washed rust tone of the denim becomes a living surface, carrying marks of time and artistic intervention.
Hand-painted symbols emerge across the composition, including an anchor that appears not as decoration, but as memory. Floral textile inserts soften the structure, while fragments of fabric and paint gestures create a surface that feels discovered rather than designed.
The garment evolves through interaction with the original material. Each layer responds to the fabric’s natural wear, allowing history and transformation to coexist within a unified form.
A hand-painted leather belt extends the narrative beyond denim, connecting materials into a continuous visual language.
The work is developed directly on the garment, guided by texture, structure, and intuition.
The original studded leather belt shown on the back is included with the jeans.
The hand-painted belt on the waistband is used for styling purposes only and is not included.
No stencils.
No duplication.
The composition evolves directly on the garment, guided by texture, wear, and structure.
This is not customization.
This is transformation.
One-of-a-kind piece.
Created at Fly Art Atelier.
